The T55 is right in the middle of Madshus' Panorama line of backcountry skis with features and construction that make it an ideal all-around backcountry ski. The T55 comes with the Paulownia ski core, which makes the T55 significantly lighter than the previous model, and has a profile that performs equally well in soft conditions as in firm snow. The T55 also features a steel edge that runs the entire length of the ski, providing maximum edge control in all conditions. The ski is also IntelliGrip® Transition skin ready, so you can ski easy knowing that no matter what the mountain throws at you, you’ll always have the right skis for the job.

Paulownia is a farm-raised lightweight wood core material with consistent material qualities. The core is surrounded by lightweight carbon and fiberglass reinforcements to add strength and stiffness, optimizing durability and performance.
IntelliGrip® Transition Skin:
Built for the mountains, Madshus IntelliGrip® Transition skin skis feature a recessed insert which anchors the front of the skin in place and allows for easy swapping or trimming of the skin to suit all skiers, conditions and skill levels.
The use of an insert ensures a smooth transition between gliding surface and skin which is critical for decreasing drag and preventing icing under the ski. IntelliGrip® Transition skin skis maintain all the benefits of traditional skin ski, but with more flexibility. This makes these skis the perfect choice for off-piste adventures!
Triaxial Construction:
Interlocking strands of fiberglass and carbon fiber surround the entire core, producing excellent torsional rigidity and strength with light weight and a lively response.
