Prologue Lanark is the latest iteration of what riding gravel in the modern events should be.The staff at EuroSports have been riding and racing on gravel since 1994, when 28C tires on cx frames were all the rage.Gravel events in the current era are built around a “last one standing” mentality and the frames have had to evolve to handle these courses. The Lanark supersedes our Britannia model in that tire clearance has been increased to 52mm, dropped right chainstay assists with “one by” set ups and a geometry that allows more nimble handling on the back trails while being compliant on the rough gravel and two tracks. We managed to keep the weight under 1100 grams by still using Toray T1000 carbon fibre and increasing the carbon lay up at the tube junctions to maximize strength to handle the kind of abuse that current gravel events will dish out.The Lanark is named after the region that not only hosts the 4 races on the Gravel Cup Canada series but also some of the most scenic dirt roads in eastern Ontario.
